Man Number One does everything right, okay? Perfect.
He’s nice. He’s polite. He asks her questions about herself.
He listens. He doesn’t push too hard. He texts back at a reasonable time.
He pays for dinner. He walks her to her car.
He does everything he was taught a good man should do.
And at the end of the night she says, “I had a really nice time.”
And then he never hears from her again.
Or
worse, she tells him, “You’re such a great guy, but I just… I don’t feel that spark.”
Hmm…
Okay, now Man Number Two breaks all the rules.
He teases her. He challenges her. He doesn’t try to impress her.
He says things that are slightly unexpected. He makes her
laugh.
He makes her feel slightly off balance — slightly unsure where she stands.
He’s not even that good looking. He’s not rich on paper.
But she goes home thinking about him.
She tells her friends about him. She checks her phone hoping he
texted.
She’s the one reaching out first, suggesting they hang out again.
It’s fair to say – she’s obsessed.
So let’s break this down…
Man Number One is probably the better guy. He’d probably make a better boyfriend, a better husband, a better
partner.
But attraction doesn’t care about “probably.”
Attraction is a biological response.
